Waning Hopes Poem by Mustofa Munir

Waning Hopes

In a swarthy night with waves of
Circling smoke a burning pyre blazed on me.
O my beloved soul, here I am!
Come back! Show me the daybreak,
Its beauty I want to conceive!
Its adorned artistry
I want to gaze for countless moments!
For infinite age I want to live
With my waning hopes that entwined you,
I want them back!
My candle flickered oddly,
It was shrinking with time!
