Wants To Die All Alone Poem by Randy McClave

Wants To Die All Alone

He said that he wants to die all alone
So, that he can't hear his wife moan,
And he said that directly to her face
I call that a disgrace.
She's at his side through thick or thin
And also through error and sin,
But, he always says this after they have a fight
Seemingly always with great pleasure and delight.
Two months ago she had nearly died
That memory still haunts her deep inside,
Now he says when he dies he wants to be by himself
He even removed his wife's picture from the bedroom shelf.
What type of man could say that to his own wife
What kind of man could bring on such strife,
Starting arguments and fights which he won't halt
And then he says it's always her fault.
When she was ill she wanted her husband at her side
She then worried and she then cried,
She wanted to hold his hand until she passed away
That is how she wanted to end that day.
But, he doesn't want his spouse anywhere nearby
At the very moment that he will die,
She said this out of worries and concern and not a whim
Please tell me, what is the matter with him.
