Wants To Marry Poem by Randy McClave

Wants To Marry

Women want to get married
Over the threshold they want to be carried,
They want to be a wife
For the rest of their natural born life.
They want the doors to be open for them
And a man to answer their every whim,
They want to be married before they are dead
Their Prince Charming they want to wed.
She can't wait for him to arrive on his white stallion
And on he chest he's wearing a heroic medallion,
She wants him to sweep her off of her feet
When they first do meet.
She wants to be married and be treated like a princess
Her answers to his every want and desire is yes.
Whenever though in the mirror when she does look
Her marriage fairytale is all in a book,
She wants a man who is straight and tall
Though, she is crooked and small.
She wants a man who is athletically fit
But, she herself is far away from it,
And she wants a man who is honest and always true
But, being devout herself she never had a clue.
She swears and curses and takes drugs and smokes
And she lies and steals and break promises, she's a hoax,
And in every bar she has looked for her prince
She has been looking and dreaming ever since.
She's excited and wanting to soon wed
As again and again she has prayed and said,
But, her Prince Charming she will never find
But, instead she will mostly marry the opposite kind.
