War drums echo, thunder loud,
smoke and sorrow form a shroud.
Steel and fire, clash and cry,
under blood-red, burning sky.
Marching men with weary eyes,
haunted by the lost goodbyes.
Cities crumble, children weep,
names engraved where heroes sleep.
Yet through ashes, hope still grows,
soft as petals, strong as oaks.
Hands once clenched in bitter fight,
now reach out to grasp the light.
