War For Man Poem by Gulliver Gimble

War For Man

Distant thunder sounds like exploding bombs.
I can only imagine the fear of many generations past.
Across the sea's, war for man goes on forever.
Like fuel to a fire that has burned itself out.

We as humans have no choice in war.
Standing by as powerless observers and pawns.
Millions of years war has raged on and on.
All the while suffering and misery are obscured.

Brilliant and masterful minds have thrones.
Sitting high and mighty with much to be said.
Scared to speak? I think not.
They are hushed by a force that serves silence.

This war for man is a war for the ages.
Another to add to the childrens text books.
The future is certain for all children around the world.
As now, they will soon be older and pawns to the game.

Can you stand for something if you stand to fall?
Do not the powers that be understand community?
Political sewers are running over the bream.
My father says we need an uprising, a revolution.

Power, money and hungry greed pours from foul mouths.
Around the world people are waiting for something.
Waiting powerless with no voice to speak.
Again, hushed by a force that serves silence.

The smaller voices are scared....yes indeed.
These country's are brainwashed, all of them.
America we stand, divided we fall.
In the early sixties, I would have been called a communist.

Now, a new age of progression, a time to speak.
Just as then, who will be listening to a plea?
Surely not my generation, they are busy playing video games.
Not understanding that they will be the voice to come.

The war for man is not a war at all.
Its a struggle between nothing, a binding grip.
Choose your weapons of mass destruction.
Defend whats left of your freedom, war for man.
