War Is A Snake Poem by Dorsey Baker

War Is A Snake

Streetwise
city slick war
wears the
false face of fraud
in a disguise
blindfold the eyes
fastest rabbit
win long race
war never sleeps soundly
war is never at peace!
war sleeps
with one eye
open!
war keeps itself
alert wide awake!
war trust no one
but itself
and never itself
too much!
war is a snake
with a deadly bite
and you can never tell
when or where
it is going to strike

surprise attack!
