War Room Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

War Room

In the war room, where battles are waged,
Amidst chaos and pain, prayers are engaged.
For in this space, we seek divine aid,
To guide us through war's deadly tirade.
With each syllable, our hearts cry out,
For peace and justice, we devoutly shout.
The weight of war, heavy on our souls,
As we bow down, to God's mighty controls.
We pray for soldiers, fighting on the front,
For the innocent, caught in war's blunt.
For families torn apart by conflict's greed,
May they find solace, in prayer's sacred feed.
In the war room, we lay down our fears,
And trust in God, to dry our tears.
For we know, He hears our every plea,
And answers prayers, for all to see.
With hands clasped, and heads bowed low,
We implore for mercy, with a gentle flow.
For love to replace, hatred and strife,
And for war to end, in God's perfect life.
Though the battles rage, in the world outside,
In the war room, we find peace inside.
For prayer is a weapon, that's mightier still,
In this holy place, we surrender our will.
So let us gather, in the war room's embrace,
And lift our voices, in faith and grace.
For in the midst of war, we find hope,
Through prayer's power, we learn to cope.
