Warhorse

Poem by jon groff

all around there's no one near
all the people cower in fear
for the warhorse he draws near
spreading darkness through the land
turning people into sand
no one dares to make a stand
against the warhorse and his song of war

come for a ride on the war horse baby,
we got time to kill, and blood to spill
all the weak will be trampled underneath
no time for mercy no time for remorse
come and ride the warhorse

the warhorse begins his descent
the people they try to repent
but their cowardess the warhorse does resent
now the warhorse picks up speed
and the people make one final plead
but to this the warhorse does not heed
he only focuses on his song of war

come for a ride on the war horse baby,
we got time to kill, and blood to spill
all the weak will be trampled underneath
no time for mercy no time for remorse
come and ride the warhorse

after everything is killed
after the last dropp of blood is spilled
the warhorse remains unthrilled
the warhorse searches for more
and just like i told you before
the warhorse begins his song of war

come for a ride on the war horse baby,
we got time to kill, and blood to spill
all the weak will be trampled underneath
no time for mercy no time for remorse
come and ride the warhorse
