Warmer Nights Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Warmer Nights

Moonlit sky where stars are bright
With a gentle breeze this Summer night
Old Owl tells a tale perched above
As a church mouse lingers in her thoughts of love

Quiet and gentle mother, once a child
Anon desires of fancy wilds
Too soon, For dreams have lead her far away
Gone are moments when, Her yesterday

Old Owl, from a child has seen her grow
Both together
Now both are old

They share the stars as they have in life
Special moments when
The warmer nights
