Was It You? Poem by Biff McGuire

Was It You?

Rating: 5.0

It may have been you,
you didn't know
That first intimate touch,
causing the beginning
The journey down the road
to becoming a man.
You never knew your strength
(or my weakness)
Good thing! (bad thing)
Stumbling forward, bouncing
inside his mind forever now
Destruction and ecstasy combined
Pain, pleasure
and the thin wall between
to balance on; always
and forever fearing the fall.
Searching till times' end,
never to find it again
