Wasting Away Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Wasting Away

Sifting through ashes of love, finding nothing left of what we
two had in life, your passing fancy has left me drowning in an
intense sorrow that never lets up it's hold on my heart.

Looking nowhere, knowing there's no purpose to it while living
alone without you, my love, heart having been raked through the
coals of your life that are no longer warm.

Nor do they hold a spark of what you once had to give me when
together, missing you my dear, as I waste away in the ocean of
tears now left me to drown in daily.
