The sands on this desolate shore seem so lonely
The gentle breeze brings are sense of solitude
The water reflecting the neon burning stars
A horizon that sits as I look into forevermore
Alone but in a tranquil state of peace in mind
My thoughts empty out into the crystalized night
Relieved of the weight that has been beating my soul
As I close my eyes to take this all in
The crash of the waves against the sand and rocks
The birds that call from a place well beyond
I'm shedding my skin to let the calm soak to the bone
Until there is only me and the moment
As the tides come in and I watch the natural world
A ballet of nature on the grandest of all stages
The struggle defined by the charge and retreat
The waters are life in this constant dance
To stand on the edge and feel the water wash over
Pulling the toxins that have been inside of me
For the skies and the horizon are my possibilities
They go on forever but to where no one can know
It is here I find the clarity I've been seeking
To silence the crumbling of what's been around
I will deafen these ears to the venomous lies
And bask in the victory of what's here and now
