Wavumba Shaman Poem by Madrason .

Wavumba Shaman

Shaman

They called the Wavumba
sharkhunter The "Commander"
too because he was.
Drunk seawater could Talk fish
and fish could Talk you too.

Simba spirits
guarding thee
'Ol' fisherman
hailed by the sea.

Weaving time-roped,
sisal strong shark resist,
Hoist man bring it close,
stick your finger
in it's nose
and fetch it
on your knee.

Mami Watta
sends sends her snakes
never forsakes destiny
, tigerfishes wishes,
lots of squids and
crabs as large
as dogs.

Nkuzi want no hunt,
fisher spear stays blunt.
Thunder's striking in
to hunt the waves,
is keeping sharks
shut in their caves.

Chit and chatter, arguing,
never doing the right thing.
Fisherman, Black Hemingway
-fingerprized- he had to pay.

Ragged shirt, ragged eyes,
ragged beard, ragged we.
ragged waves, ragged boat,
ragged life, here we float.
"Shaman and 'Ol' fisherman,
Yea lions of the sea! "
