There lived a girl of fourteen alone
with her mother in the disaster zone
woke up after midnight to fearful sounds
her house in waist deep mud she found
surrounded by a mountain of debris,
might collapse any moment.
While she was wading through
the waist deep mud and debris
to the higher plains, she heard
wails for help of two more boys;
though she knew that her safety
and that of her mother was doubtful
she could not ignore the cries for help,
paused to take them along
in her perilous mission.
With both the children clinging
to her feeble body, ensuring
her mother was safe too,
she climbed the hill to safety.
She lives to tell her story,
an inspiration to one and all!

Such courage in times of a calamity is laudable! Let us celebrate her!
