Ways Of The Eagle Poem by Paul Sebastian

Ways Of The Eagle

Alone, you fly high up in the sky
Below spread the wrinkled sea
You rule the air, screech the warrior’s cry
Most gifted vision to extra-ordinarily see

With power in your wings, over winds
You soar, over storms you mount
You reign over the azure kingdom
Impale preys with talons as weapons

Coach your own eaglets to fly
Then, freed, live lives on their own
Alone on top of mountain high
You regain strength basking in the sun

You espouse a partner for life
You take great care over loved ones
You bring fresh food, see them survive
Your eagle ways, we teach our loved ones!

You are an eagle, meant to fly high
Not a turkey living among turkeys
You have abilities to reach heights
Spread your wings, fly! An eagle, be!
