We All Do Have A Hobby To Pursue Poem by Francis Duggan

We All Do Have A Hobby To Pursue

I'm at least three decades beyond my prime
And i feel that i am running out of time
A man who is immersed in slipshod rhyme
Though that should not be looked on as a crime
We all do have a hobby to pursue
And to our hobbies we do remain true
And no two people exactly the same
Though few who do not harbour some quiet wish for fame,
The clock ticks on and time on none does wait
And on us all there is a use by date
And whether we are buried or to ashes we burn
To Nature we are destined to return
And though many believe in life beyond this Earthly Shore
Death for us may well be forever more.
