We All Live And Learn Poem by Joyce Hemsley

We All Live And Learn

Rating: 5.0

High Finance is in the air,
Let the tale of woe begin!
For the words of William Shakespeare
Have disappeared into the wind.
'Neither a lender nor a borrower be'
His phrase is not taken seriously.

But to newlyweds with a dream-house in mind,
Extra capital they surely must find...
Repaying the loan may cost them dearly
'Though interest rates are reduced considerably.
If a mortgagor's repayments cease to be
Then the dream-house goes to the mortgagee
And William Shakespeare's words could return
'Borrow ye not'...we live and learn.

Nice reference to Shakespeare. Great rhythm and rhyme and what an interesting take on a true issue. Nice read, really flows.
