of trees
we take comfort
from the
scorching heat of
the sun of
truth,
the coolness of
our acceptances
the beauty of our
falling leaves.
our shadows keep
company
they are maimed
by our emptiness.
under the promises
of skies
we take hope
we take pleasures
of the rainbows
after those rains.
