We are not the same
As the Bible does proclaim,
There's a difference between her and me
I am a he and you are a she.
We are different both outside and in
God created us both women and men,
That is indeed a wonderful blessing
Alone from our outside dressing.
I will provide and I will always protect
I am head of the family standing proud and erect,
She will multiply
Her love and faith I will never deny.
I will provide the shelter
Because, I know and I love and my soul felt her,
And to make the home complete
She gives it a soul and a heartbeat.
I provides all of the ingredients
With love and care and expedience,
Then with a desire and an ideal
She creates the meal.
I will provide the house
To include her, my love my spouse,
No longer will I search and no longer roam
She has now created us a home.
I take care of our outer world
No matter what is thrown or tossed or hurled,
She takes care of our inner world
As situations are unfurled.
I give her love as my wife
And she always gives me happiness and life,
Our roles complement each other
And to compete, we never.
When God created two from one not to disparage
Two became one in holy marriage,
Equal value and equal honor
Equally needed for the family, Him and her.
