We Do Not Mourn Poem by Gary James Smith

We Do Not Mourn

We Do Not Mourn

We do not mourn as hopeless one's
Because of devastation and a loss
But we can mourn with the blessed hope
Of the Victory through the Cross
For sins transgressions sought our death
And death comes to us all
But praise God for the empty tomb
Our Spiritual withal!

So cheer up saint a glorious sight
Is there for our unfolding
The One with hand and foot nail prints
We will one day be beholding
And the guest book signed by angels no less
Guranteed of no stress or strife
Praise God my name is written down
In the blessed Lamb's Book of Life

Hallelujah for repentance power
In genuine fear of the Lord
With a broken and a contrite heart
It believes every Word of God
And hope by faith has Salvation's root
How deep the grace of God
And once it's planted by the Spirit
It ever adorns the Truth!
