We Give Them Their Fame And Renown Poem by Francis Duggan

We Give Them Their Fame And Renown

We build up World wide known celebrities
We give them their fame and renown
And when we find them overbearing
We then try for to drag them down.

With our praises we give them big egos
And of their climb to success we have read
And too late we see them for their true selves
When their success it has gone to their head.

Tis the fans who build their celebrities
And give them their wealth and their fame
And without their fans they would be almost unknown
One might say just another name.

In the shadows of their idols many do live
As if they do not have lives of their own
Their fans give them their box office appeal
And without their fans they would not be well known.

We give them wealth, fame and big egos
And we create many a new millionaire
And some of us then try to deflate them
That's life though life is not always fair.
