We Gnostics know silence—
its power surpasses words.
Unshaken by its depths,
we embrace what others fear.
Trained in eternity,
we received sacred knowledge:
to observe, to listen, to act—
all within silence's embrace.
This is our way,
the art of living silence.
Silence is no lesson
for classrooms or yoga halls,
no treasure unlocked
through incense or crossed legs.
You close your eyes,
perfume the air,
and sit as stone—
whispering, 'I am in silence.'
Yet in the quiet of your room,
unease stirs.
True silence slips away.
To be silent is to remain so,
even amidst the world's noise.
You dwell in illusions of stillness,
while silence remains unknown.
In silence, wisdom is sown,
seeds growing unseen,
nurtured by the still.
Our masters taught us:
nature always speaks
through silence.
But only the quieted soul
can hear its voice.
For in silence alone,
the divine whispers truth.
