We Ignore Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We Ignore

Rating: 5.0

You surrendered easily
It seems it was an act enjoyed happily
You tended to fall for pleasure
The attitude was quite clear

The pleasure is always of short duration
It doesn’t develop any stable relation
It is simply a lust of time
People gather to pass the merry time

It may be forced trade
But you are definitely led
To fall in trap
With visible gap

It is slave trade
Flash one clearly forbade
Yet we continue much to the shame
And finally cry and blame

We need to rise
With clear voice and promise
We shall not surrender or obey
Any forceful occupation or sway

Man and woman must feel alike
It may be much to our dislike
Blot on humanity and crime
We ignore it fully sometimes
