When Venus hangs brightly in the western sky
No birds will fly
No men will sing
Projectile's will deliver death’s bitter horrific sting
And the end of men as we are
The beginning of some other age
Where Knowledge and Understanding
Will be valued over money and power
I hope.
Innocent and good people don’t deserve to be destroyed
But I think it is the only way we can really start afresh
Mankind should be called Mancruel
We are, by nature nasty and barbaric
Only laws prevent the chaos which could reign on Earth.
We need a fresh start but I am frightened
Of the process through which this will come about.
