We Sinned For The First Time Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

We Sinned For The First Time

Wish I could be back in time
When I first held your hands;
When in shyness you turned your head;
Only once we saw into each other's eyes.

Wish I could go back to you
When you let me knit your hair into a bun;
When you let me kiss under the mild sun;
And I didn't leave you through the summer noon;

Wish I could get back that night
When you and I together saw
The same dream sleeping side by side;
Smelled each other's body and fell into the trap
Of the naughty moon's stare and sinned for the first time.
