We Stand Firm
Great ancient and rich heritage
India survived through crucial phase
Foreign invaders ruled for many centuries
Adding to woes and painful memories
Kind Harshavardhan* swayed his rule all over
All rules asked for shield and cover
His rule is considered as golden period
Even mighty ruler always tried to avoid
Many races took refuge here
They were welcomed and allowed without fear
The Parses came from central Asia and became real
They mixed with local people like sugar in milk as deal
India still remained intact
British ruled for more periods in fact
They brought with them freedom
It was never experienced or witnessed seldom
India has gained freedom with liberty
But has been marred by illiteracy
The people suffer due to poverty
Yet there is full proof system with no autocracy
It has diverse civilization
May be very hard to understand in relation
It has survived and may do so
Let whole of world try with aid to flow
We shall stand firm
This we whole heartily confirm
India shall stand and show
We are committed for democracy to grow
