We Wait To See The Dead Again Poem by Shalom Freedman

We Wait To See The Dead Again

We wait to see
The dead again
But they do not reappear-

We dream we will see them
In another world
And do not know
If there is one-

We long for the lost
And do not know
How to live with the thought
Of never seeing them again-

We wonder what we'll see
When we die
And if we will meet any of them
Ever again.
