We Were Poem by syzygy aribs

I am, We are, She is, He was, they will be.
I heard this prophesy & like every crazy idea I
ever had, i went looking for my heart's desire
.
I had to trick a demon to get it, but once I had
it, I was forced to fight an angel to keep it.
but like everything I'v ever owned,
you disappeared with no warning, letting me
fall off the edge without jumping.
And now with haunted eyes,
half in this world, half elsewhere,
I find myself at crossroads,
hoping I have the strength to trust love one
more time.
