Your second poem of salvation through altruism uses spiritual flight to close the gap between the divine and the the human. Your reference to Marc Chagall's flying lovers is inspired because memories of his gravity-defying lovers tumbling in the sky over Paris make spiritual flight accessible to our minds. You quickly drop that connection and focus exclusively on your vision which is a total liberation from the fleshly reality and the material world. Mountains are the last material image in your poem and their towering height is dwarfed by Spiritual Flight. The PURE LIGHT that suffuses the spiritual flyers is already shining within the Divine Presence. Words fail here because they are images and images partake of material reality. In the last stanza of your poem you take us beyond the material completely. We are outside of time and space; we are in Eternity, our Homecoming in God's presence, suffused in divine LIGHT.
