We Will Win Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

We Will Win

We will win

I heard that in wartime
The PM had gone out.

Red, turned light...

Churchill looked to the side:
"We will win…"

Driver asked him:
"How? "

Pointing at a car:
"Because of our nation…"

No more cars, only, one!

Had stopped behind light
In middle of the night.

No police,
Nobody…

Just a car and the light,
Driver obeyed law.

I live in Canada,
Went to shop,
Wore my mask.

It is law
And science
And wisdom,
So, why not?

Saw others doing same.

Wall to wall
Our neighbours
Are quite different.
