Weathering The Winer Poem by Katie Anon

Weathering The Winer

Rating: 4.5

In the midst of fog and rain
The weather itself seems to copy my pain
The raindrops shadow my tears
The wind represents my fears

But spring is nearly upon us
The daffodils bravely flower without fuss
Birds sing songs of support
Sun brings a warming comfort

However dark the world does feel
With time winter wounds do heal
Mud dries with clearer days
Flowers grow under the suns gaze

So as days lengthen & skies clear
Spring feels ever so near
And like the world I will leave the dark behind
And my own inner sunshine I will find
