Weep Not Woman Poem by Frank Adie

Weep Not Woman

Rating: 5.0

I have never experienced parturition,
Therefore, I dare not say I can feel your pain.
I do not know what it means to lose a son,
But I believe nothing can be more tragic under the sun.

We all loved Victor, and we love him still,
But the All-Knowing God has done His Will,
We saw how badly you wanted him to live,
You prayed long and hard, hoping he will come alive.

It was quite disheartening to watch you wail,
Seeing that your boy will never return from that sail,
The death of Victor is your victory over pain,
Weep no more for Victor did not die in vain.
