Weeping Of The Willows Poem by jack green

Weeping Of The Willows

Rating: 5.0

You are always on my mind.
Even while i sleep.
You are always in my heart.
With every single beat.
With every step I take.
Down this empty street.
The moon provides the light.
To guide these weary feet.

By morning I will be through.
These red clay hills of gold.
Following ghosts of yesterday.
Chasing memories untold.
Drunk on spirits of loss.
And stuck between sorrows fold.
Singing songs so sad.
Willows cry, weeping uncontroled.

... Beautiful poem with a hint of sadness and longing. Another great poem, Jack!
