Weeping Willow Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

Weeping Willow

I rest upon my pillow,
To gently fall asleep,
I dream of weeping willow,
Beside the painted seat.
You walk to me with cheerful smile,
Then sit down next to me,
I'm young again,
The birds fly by,
To rest upon the tree.
Wild flowers stretch for miles and miles,
I pick some just for you,
You hold out your hands,
Take them in your arms,
Then walk through the morning dew.
As you go on your journey,
You turn and wave to me,
That special place so lonely now,
Beside the willow tree.
