Welcome To Juba. Poem by Tony Adah

Welcome To Juba.

I have listened to the radio
And flipped the pages of newspapers
I have seen Taban Lo Lyong
With shreds of cotton bolls
On his chin talking
About his new country.

The battle has been won
As it has also been lost
I am ashamed of the war
And the counting of the dead
Today the strings of war
May bring some gory sights
But tomorrow Juba is your day.

The fight then the gain ah yet I wish rights to nayionhood could be obtained without blood shed. Killing is the worst way to gain some thing. But your poem is great to read, , political and ends with the truimph. Thumps up for the way u have written it. Juba a new name for many. Pls do review my latest poem mother natures. ....
