What Does Dalit Signify It? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

What Does Dalit Signify It?

Rating: 5.0

Dalit, Dalit is a word signifying
What is it trodden, suppressed, oppressed
And exploited and tortured,
The poorly downtrodden, have-nots, the exploited,
To whom social justice needs to be given
Or who has not got it social, economic justice
And for whom my heart beats for.

Poor people should get social and economical justice. You have brilliantly expressed the truth. Every person in the society should not stay backward and every person should get respect. An Amazing poem is brilliantly penned.

I appreciate your sentiments but who will change the mentality of those who often persecute them for being born in lower castes. Where are they who swear by Gandhian principles and the constitution of India but do nothing in a decisive manner.
