What Does Forever Mean? Poem by Edwina Reizer

You forever, me forever,
But what does forever mean?
Does it mean beyond this life of ours
or quite a different scene?

One where all we were is gone,
never to be again.
That thought is hard for me to bear,
to think that we can end.

Maybe it means we remember it all
and start anew somewhere.
Or maybe it just means angels and clouds
and never-ending prayer.

Well I'll do my praying while I'm here
that forever means you and I.
And if that doesn't do the trick
then forever's one long cry.
