There are forests burning
all around me
but you sheild my eyes
so I cannot see the smoke.
Sky scrapers are collapsing in the cities,
bombs are falling
and wars are raging
in all of us
and I hide under tables
but you protect me from the rubble.
There are crowds of people,
they laugh at my name,
malign the ones I love
and spit on the ground I walk
but I hear nothing,
I see nothing.
You cover me like a banket
and I cannot be harmed.
I am safe under your wings
and you will never leave
because you made a promise
that you will never forsake me
no matter how difficult gets
to protect me.
