What If I Go Back Poem by Mohammad Younus

What If I Go Back

What If I Go Back

What, if I go back now to my old world,
The rivers roaring - milk, honey, and wine,
There in the old peaceful garden,
Of our lord - quiet and calm,
How I would wonder, and do merrymaking,
Houris singing to me in chorus,
At towering terrace under the holy tree,
Immense, incredible, fragrance in the atmosphere,
Swarms of bees buzzing - hu, hu, hu,
Telling me God's presence,
And angels collectedly dancing in Divine light.
