What Is Done Can't Be Undone Poem by Mark Heathcote

What Is Done Can't Be Undone

What is done can't be undone.
So darling throws me a rope.
I've made mistakes.
But maybe mine are bigger.
But no one is a winner.

What is done can't be undone.
Must you always
Have the last word.
Must you always be right?
And say I am always wrong.

What is done can't be undone.
It's a wedding without a honeymoon.
Trying always to keep in step with you
It's like having nettles on the ground.
every square inch when you're not allowed to itch.

What is done can't be undone.
Like I love you anyway.
Like I love you anyway.
Like a lazy river wanting to cover the plain.
Ah, I'm feeling a waterfall bursting
Into my arms coming my way.
