What Is It To Be In The World
WHAT IS IT TO BE IN THE WORLD,
What is it to be in the world,
Just to be in the world?
To look and see light
To feel in one’s walking
That this sky, this green park
Is Joy enough,
And does not need words
Needs no poem
Just is?
What is it to be in the world
And just be happy to live
Without having to justify it
With a poem
Which no one will read anyway?
