What is this body that lives with us? Poem by Tonnus Oosterhoff

What is this body that lives with us?

What is this body that lives with us?
Our life is firewood, our body fire,
or: body firewood, life fire.
Fire and wood form one tissue.

Whose tissue is this?
The public burns with curiosity,
the police have the answer.
They call a press conference:
the tissue is the missing person's.
