What Is Truth: Whatever Masked Reality: Power Imposes Poem by Terence George Craddock

What Is Truth: Whatever Masked Reality: Power Imposes

the old question,
'What is truth? '
Politics is a dirty game;

it is said 'All power corrupts,
absolute power corrupts absolutely.'
People who believe their candidates

in batter up big league politics
are innocent of all corruption
choose to be shut blind eyes,

seeing only dirt in foe candidates
opposition ranting oppose proclaiming
their candidate innocent worthy

of sainthood is part of the problem.
With power Hitler and Stalin proved
to be what so many absolute rulers

have been throughout history,
a curse inflicted upon their victims.
American Presidents are now

seemingly above the law
increasingly immune to law.
The truth about absolute

rulers is not even fully revealed
even when they are throne toppled
from power; web balances checks

have not been removed,
ego ambition power,
a need desire for world

domination; imposes
pattern same historical threats
as past historic dictators;

different countries honorifics address
their apex leaders with differing titles,
but hate intolerance aggressive egos

are causing conflict war escalation;
we need worthy leaders who believe
in peace who strive to provide better

lives and standards of living
for all citizens of their nations
and all people in every nation;

of this earth shared world.
Who is politically worthy
of a supreme leadership?

The cast vote of peace loving people?
Votes for liars and corruption in power
is merely a vote supporting conflict:

such politicians
world leaders
will future cause.
