What Might Have Been Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

What Might Have Been

Walking into dreams, looking for the love lost so long ago,
not even knowing about it until now.

Perfect being that should have been with me when younger,
having met now when it's much too late.

There's nothing we can do about it, but think wistfully
of what might have been.
