What's The Big Deal? - Poem by Twilight Whispers

Passing exams.
Getting the grades.
Taking interviews,
And making a
Good
Impression.

What's the big deal?

Getting a good job.
Making lots of money
So that you can have
A big house
And a fast car.
Seriously.

What's the big deal?

Saving your money
To pay bills
And rent.
To pay taxes
And to go on
Holiday.

What's the big deal?

What if I want to live in a tiny little house by the sea?
With just enough room for another plus me?
What if all I want to do in life is write stories?
Wouldn't you judge me, in spite of my glory?

What's the big deal?
Are you going to stop me being who I want to be?
