What's Your Story? Poem by michael Smajda

What's Your Story?

There is a story within us
That just seldom never gets told.
Short stories about short-lived lives,
Novels about those who've died old.

What all they did, what lives they've lived
Are eternally hid from our eyes.
Cemeteries are full of their tales,
None receiving a Pulitzer Prize.

I've stories to tell. So, do you.
The only way they will survive-
Record them, store them in safe place
Where posterity can keep them alive.
