What Some Say About Me Poem by Francis Duggan

What Some Say About Me

Since the judgement of others is often unfair
What some say about me i really don't care
I'm not without sin so i won't cast the stone
And if you don't like me then leave me alone,
So many with far heavier crosses than me for to bear
And so much heartbreak and suffering in the big World out there
Where there are millions of people far worse off than i
For it won't be of malnutrition that i will die,
The reaper who claims every life will claim mine
And whenever that happens that will suit me fine
I have never been hungry or suffered great pain
And i am not one with cause to complain
And why should i worry what some of me say
Since that is their business and that is okay.
