What The F##k

That bard again used woke
for a word deep with meaning
but unlike him
I wallow in privilege
and excess
and consider voting
too far for me to march.

Besides if I did
I'd still be marching days
past the voting booth.

Getting woke is like
being in the Matrix
and taking the red pill
or the blue pill
depending
on the odd or even days
of the week,

You get a sudden
understanding
of what's really going on
and find out you were wrong
about much
of what you understood
to be truth.
