What We Read Poem by Gangadharan nair Pulingat..

What We Read

Civilizations, world civilizations
The histories of wars and subjugations
The questioners put by the philosophers
The answers those never accepted by rulers
The meditations, of the soul by learned men
The write ups of wonderful books those times
Where writings were done in crude methods
The mind wandered for better things for future
The generations that to come back with them
Their rivalry for fellow human beings
The exemplary rulers, warfare they fought
After all the missing link is the downtrodden
The wonderful farmers those fed the elites
Their pages are missing for ever from history
The good humanity prevailed in villages
The great helps mutually parted with kindness
Their lies the history pages are to be rewritten.
