What Would I Like To Do? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

What Would I Like To Do?

What Would I Like to Do?

It happened on a crackling thunderous day.
I watched this thunderstorm all day.
I didn't know what to do.
So I just stayed and stayed.

The next day all was quiet,
Too quiet to reckon with.
What would I like to do?
No adventure came my way.

You see I knew not me.
I thought all the world was outside me.
I knew the world far and wide
But the inner space seemed far outside.

One day I knew what I had to do.
I stumbled across something brand new.
That brand new was me
And oh what an adventure was myself you see.
